The shark
population has been reduced to less than 5% of its numbers in some
waters -- largely because of the rampant and cruel harvesting of
shark fins. The out of control appetite for shark fin soup, mostly
in Asia, is the largest contributor to this. You and your
neighbours also contribute to the decimation of sharks if you use
certain cosmetics, Preparation H, some brands of glucosamine
sulphate and obviously, shark cartilage tablets.
Make a noise about this. A big enough noise can result in a ban on shark products.
